The Northwest Division

The Northwest Division is a great classic-rock band based in Toronto…Okay, it’s my band. 
The Northwest Division’s music has a very Canadian, roots-rock feel, often compared to Neil Young. I wanted the visuals to reflect this quality, so I gave the design a Canadian wilderness-style appearance. The website was built on ExpressionEngine, and set up so that the four of us could all submit content individually. An avatar appears next to each blog post, indicating which one of us submitted the entry.
The band received a lot of favourable reviews from music critics, so I created a feature in the sidebar that would randomly display a pull-quote from a review. Clicking on the publication title would open the Reviews page allowing the visitor to read the full article.
The website also includes a music player allowing the visitor to sample The Northwest Division’s music while browsing the site.
